Ada Lovelace Day

Ada Lovelace Day, considered the first female programmer in history, is celebrated each year on the second Tuesday in October and aims to highlight women’s achievements in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

To learn more about Ada Byron and other notable women in these fields, the library has selected a number of titles that you’ll find on the display stand in the reading room.

In addition, you can take a look at the PoliBuscador collection dedicated to the Women in Computer Science including biographies, essays on women in the profession, novels, comics, movies, and documentaries.
