The European Day of Conservation-Restoration, promoted since 2018 by E.C.C.O. (European Confederation of Conservator-Restorers’ Organizations), aims to raise awareness of the work of conservation-restoration professionals and to help the public better understand their contribution to the protection, understanding, and transmission of cultural heritage.
To commemorate this day, we suggest a a roundtable discussion that highlights the interdisciplinary nature of conservation-restoration, a field where art, science, technology, and the humanities converge, and where collaboration among professionals is essential to preserving cultural heritage for present and future generations.
This Friday, October 16, 2026 We are also showcasing this collaboration through this event, co-organized by the various UPV institutions involved in teaching, research, and management in the field of cultural heritage conservation and restoration: the School of Fine Arts, the Art and Heritage Collection Division, the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, and the University Institute for Heritage Restoration (IRP) at the Polytechnic University of Valencia
