Borrowing
Loan terms
You can borrow up to 30 materials on loan:
- Study books: 15 days (7 days if there are reserves)
- Literature books: 15 days
- Magazines and movies: 7 days (3 if there are reserves)
- Laptops and mice: 7 days
- Calculators, scalimeters, squares, headphones, chargers: 1 day
Renew
Loans are automatically renewed two days before deadline.
If it cannot be renewed because you have a sanction, it is reserved or the loan period has expired (4 months for books, 2 months for journals/movies, 1 month for laptops), you will receive a notice by e-mail.
Check your loans and return dates in My Library.
Reserve
From Polibuscador you can reserve books, journals and laptops, etc. that are on loan, as well as materials from other UPV libraries or from the Deposit location.
You have to log in, click on Reserve and choose the pick-up library. We will email you when the item will be available. You have two working days to pick it up and you can cancel your reserves from My Library.
Borrowing with your phone
From the app MyUPV you can borrow books directly with your phone.
- Enter in MyUPV → Library → Loan.
- Press the+ and scan the barcode of the book.
- You will see the confirmation message and the loan will be added to your list.
Available at the Central Library, Civil Engineering Library, Alcoi Campus Library and Gandia Campus Library.
You have to return items at the library desk or self-checkout machines.
Self-checkout
Self-checkout machines allow you to borrow and return books and consult your Polibuscador account.
They are available at the Central Library, Fine Arts Library and Aerospace Engineering and Industrial Design Library.
The self-checkout machines cannot be used for laptops, devices, and special or deposit materials.

Group studio rooms
Learn how to reserve and borrow one of our study cabins to do your work in a group. Remember to moderate your tone of voice and follow the rules of use.
Laptop
If you are a student of official studies of degree, master or doctorate you can borrow a laptop from the library for a week. Check the laptop models we have for you.
Interlibrary loan
If you are interested in an article, book chapter or book that we do not have in our collection, we can help you.
BUVAL Loan
Thanks to the Consortium of Valencian Public University Libraries you can borrow books from the UJI, the UV, the UMH and the UA.
Electronic books
We have subscribed to many e-books, check Polibuscador to see if they are available in any of our contracted platforms.
Remember
Take care of borrowed materials and return them on time.
