Coinciding with the celebration of the International Archives Day the Universitat Politècnica de València organizes, on June 9, 2026 from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m., the Digitization of old archives workshop. The event will be a space for meeting and reflection on the current challenges of preservation, digitization, description and dissemination of documentary and technological heritage in digital environments.
Through various experiences developed within the UPV and reference institutions such as the National Library of Spain, this conference will provide information on digital preservation projects, heritage digitization and specialized cataloging, with the aim of enhancing the work done to preserve and disseminate unique collections linked to the history of computing, telecommunications and sound heritage.
