The State Research Agency (AEI), affiliated with the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, has announced the 2024 call for grants for the training of doctors in companies and other entities (Industrial Doctorates).
These grants are available to various types of entities and aim to promote the realization of industrial research or experimental development projects that encompass a doctoral thesis.
Call for Proposals Details
- Budget: 8 million euros.
- Deadline for submission: From April 23 to June 4, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time).
- Duration of aid: Four years.
- Financeable items: Direct costs of project execution, doctoral student mobility, and doctoral tuition fees.
Objectives of the Call
This initiative seeks to facilitate the entry of research personnel into the labor market at the outset of their professional careers, enhance the employability of these researchers, and promote the integration of talent into the productive and socioeconomic fabric to boost competitiveness.
Who can be beneficiaries?
- Companies: Including spin-offs and Young Innovative Companies.
- Private not-for-profit entities and public administrations: Entities that meet certain established criteria and are capable of developing R&D&I projects.
