EWP – How we manage agreements (IIA’s) at UPV, decentralized structure

Erasmus mobility and agreements are decentralized in our institution. Each School and Faculty has its own international office, responsible for the agreements of their study areas.

When UPV staff initiate EWP: expect to receive as many agreements as UPV Schools or Faculties you have cooperation with. The agreements may not all arrive at the same time into your system, as they will be initiated by different members of staff at UPV.

If you initiate an EWP agreement: as far as possible, we kindly ask you to select the specific “Organisational Unit” at UPV (School or Faculty) and to send separate agreements for each UPV School or Faculty.

As a reference, you may use the information from previous agreements signed in PDF files, or check the summary chart below.

If you do not include a UPV “Organisational Unit” in your proposal, the digital agreement will be first reviewed by the central unit for mobility programs (OPII). Based on previous Erasmus agreements and the study field, the agreement will be allocated to the relevant UPV School.

General remarks about the cooperation conditions in the agreements:

  • Please do not include any student mobility for traineeships.
  • According to the Spanish Erasmus Agency, it is optional to include Staff Mobility for Training (STT) in the agreements. If you want to include open and flexible staff mobility, you may use broad study fields like “0031 Personal Skills and Development” or “0415 Secretarial and Office Work”. You may also restrict staff mobility for training to a more specific field (for example, for staff exchanges from technical laboratories).
  • As a rule, when we write “2 students x 10 months”, we place the emphasis on the total number of students (2) and not on the total number of months. We do not interpret “2 students x 10 months” = “4 students x 5 months”. When in doubt, please check with the relevant contact person at UPV first.
