VERA CAMPUS (VALENCIA)
- Institutional welcome (general meeting)
This session is for students accepted by any School or Faculty.
It is normally scheduled on the Thursday of the week prior to the start of classes.
– Welcome speech from the UPV Authorities
– Safety, health, and healthcare information
– Enrollment process and academic system
– IT systems and services (credentials, access, etc.)
– University services
At the end of the session, the student association Erasmus Student Network (ESN) organizes a reception with drinks
and paella.
- Specific School or Faculty meetings
Each School and Faculty has its own International Relations office, responsible for the reception, orientation, registration, and signatures of documents of their exchange students.
Most faculties (but not all) organize a specific meeting in addition to the general meeting. The content of this meeting is usually focused on faculty-specific academic information. It is the ideal time to ask questions related to course registration, exam schedules, or to ask for signatures on documents (e.g. Erasmus certificate of arrival).
This meeting is usually on the Friday of the week before classes start, but you should be attentive to the information that your School or Faculty will send you by email.
If your School or Faculty at the UPV does not invite you to a specific meeting, you can visit their office (inside your host School or Faculty) during student reception hours, which are generally Monday through Friday from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Check beforehand the office hours on their website.
GANDÍA AND ALCOY CAMPUSES
Our Gandía and Alcoy campuses organize their own welcome sessions for exchange students. You will receive the information by email shortly before the start of the semester.
