Spanish courses at UPV

Course organization:40 hours total; 4 ECTS

Mornings: spanish language classes
Afternoons: activities and workshops to practice the language (sports, culture, visits, etc.)

Levels: A1 A2, B1 and B2 (minimum 10 students per group)

Price is approximate:260 (course and material); you must consult the official information each semester.

Duration and approximate dates:2 weeks starting at the end of August and 2 weeks starting at the end of January

Important note:The Gandia course is an introductory or refresher course. The organization, the quality and the evaluations of all the years are very good,
but remember, a 2-week, 40-hour course is NOT equivalent to a level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The UPV offers Spanish as a foreign language classes every semester as complementary training for its exchange students.

Price: free for exchange students; limited places available;Not accessible to international students who are not exchange program students.
Duration: September – end of December (final exam in January) and February – end of May (exam in June)
Credits: 4,5 ECTS
Levels at the Valencia campus:A1(*), A2, B1, B2 and C1 (**)

(*) Only for students from Asian universities and Erasmus KA171 program (not “normal” Erasmus).
(**) Level C1 normally available only in the period February-June.

Levels at the Gandia campus (EPSG):A2, B1 and B2
Levels at the Alcoy campus (EPSA)B1 and B2

Accepted students will receive an invitation to take a placement test in early July/December;online.This UPV level test is mandatory to participate in the Spanish courses during the semester..

The result of your level according to the online Spanish test will determine the Spanish classes you will be able to request:

Registration and schedules

During the reconfirmation process (August 1-31 or January 1-31) you will be able to select the Spanish group you are most interested in, as long as you have taken the level test on time.

Semester Spanish courses and Erasmus+ Learning Agreement

Please do not include the semester Spanish courses in your Erasmus+ Learning Agreement “Before the Mobility” during the admission phase at the UPV.

Each Spanish course has a numerical code and an exact name that changes depending on the semester (Semester A or Semester B), the campus and the level. First you will have to take the UPV level test in July / December. At that time the UPV will establish which Spanish course you have access to.

You can include your Spanish courses in the Erasmus+ Learning Agreement “Changes During the Mobility“from September or February.
