Formalities after entry into Spain

Once you have entered Spain with the corresponding visa, it may be necessary to complete additional procedures, depending on the visa obtained and the duration of your studies at the UPV:

-If the stay + visa is equal to or less than 180 daysIf you are not satisfied with the results, no additional procedure is necessary.

-If the stay is more than 180 daysStudents with a visa will need to apply for a visa;obtain a T.I.E.(Alien Identification Card), during the first monthFrom your entry into Spain or a Schengen country and before the expiration of the visa.

-If the validity of the authorization of stay recorded by the consulted is less than the total duration of the studies at the UPV through the UPV Foreigners Service you can apply for the initial extension of your visa until the end of your studies, depending on your degree. This extension must always be done and confirmed BEFORE fingerprinting for T.I.E.

The UPV Alien Service provides support to students with certain procedures. Also, students with a digital certificate can do the procedures directly through official channels; You should NEVER do both at the same time.Check the information available on our web site.
