PhD in Art: Production and Research
According to the applicable regulations, doctoral training shall include, in addition to the completion of the doctoral thesis, the performance by the doctoral student of specific and cross-curricular training activities.
Each training activity has a valuation in equivalent hours. The doctoral student will have to obtain a minimum of 600 equivalent hours in the development of the different training activities in order to present the thesis, of which at least 10 percent (60 hours) will correspond to cross-curricular training courses.
The evaluation in equivalent hours of each type of activity, as well as the maximum recognized evaluation, have been established by the Academic Committee of this Doctoral Program for its students, taking into consideration whether their dedication is full-time or part-time.

To be considered:
- At the CAPD meeting dated December 9, 2023, it was agreed:
– THE DIRECTION OF TFG AND TFM BY DOCTORAL STUDENTS IS NOT VALIDATED AS TRAINING GIVEN.
– CAPD WILL NOT VALIDATE SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES WHEN THE OBLIGATORY 600 HOURS ARE EXCEEDEDED. THE EXCEPTION WILL BE IN THE CASE OF PRESENTING A PUBLICATION IN AN INDEXED JOURNAL OR A RESEARCH STAY. THIS TYPE OF ACTIVITY WILL BE VALIDATED IN ORDER TO APPEAR IN THE CV OF THE DOCTORAL STUDENT. - Only activities that have a MINIMUM number of hours indicated are mandatory.
- In cases where the activity can be allocated a wide range of hours, the committee (CAPD) will determine.
- In each Specific Activity there are a different number of indicators that can be added together.
- The doctoral student must upload to the SENIA application all the digital elements for which he/she wants to be counted in each type of specific activity or indication.
Justification of activities:
- Justify activities with pdf or jpg.
- Reproduction of a work in a book or magazine will be considered a reflection on the work: REPERCUSSION.
- In the case of a book, book chapter or catalog, the image of the first and last page of the participation and the page with the credits and table of contents should be attached.
