Language requirements – exchange students from non-European institutions

The following information applies to students who apply under the following programs:

  • Direct Exchange Program with non-European Institutions (North America, Australia, Asia-Pacific)
  • KA171 students who receive Erasmus+ financial support from the UPV

These students can be accepted for a study program in English only (courses or projects). However, keep this in mind:

1- The number of degree programmes with courses (subjects/modules) taught in English is limited. Please note that Erasmus Mundus master’s degree programmes are not open to incoming exchange students.

2- English-taught courses (subjects/modules) are offered both to UPV degree students and to incoming exchange students. UPV degree-seeking students always enroll before exchange students

3- English-taught courses (subjects/modules) have limited availability. We do our best to prioritize the enrollment of students coming from non-European partner institutions, but enrollment in specific courses cannot always be guaranteed.

4- You may combine courses from different faculties, but you must choose one host faculty and take most of your credits there. Enrolling in courses outside your host faculty, especially in English, can be challenging due to high demand and timetable conflicts. In our main campus in Valencia, you must also consider the distances between some faculties.
