PhD in Agri-Food Economics
As established by the applicable regulations, PhD training shall include, in addition to the completion of the PhD thesis, the completion by the PhD student of specific and cross-curricular training activities.
Each training activity is assigned a number of equivalent hours. PhD students must complete a minimum of 600 equivalent hours through the various training activities in order to submit their thesis. Of these, at least 10% (60 hours) must correspond to cross-curricular training courses.
The number of equivalent hours assigned to each type of activity, as well as the maximum number of equivalent hours that may be recognised, have been established by the Academic Committee of this PhD programme for its students.

Important points to bear in mind:
- Thesis submission requirement: To submit the PhD thesis, students must have completed at least 600 equivalent hours across all activities.
- Cross-curricular training: At least 10% of the total (60 hours) must correspond to cross-curricular training courses. A maximum of 150 hours may be recognised in this category.
- Publication requirement: To obtain the degree, students must have published, or had accepted for publication, at least one article in a scientific journal indexed in JCR or Scopus.
- Recording and monitoring: All activities must be recorded and validated annually through the institutional platform SENIA. This requires a favourable assessment from the thesis supervisor and approval from the Academic Committee of the PhD Programme (CAPD).
