It is requested from the Thesis Management platform, from the menu “Elaboration phase” / “Request for extensions/dismissals”.
The approval of a definitive withdrawal from the program implies an abandonment of the thesis by the doctoral candidate. It is an option for situations in which the applicant is not available to complete the thesis within the deadlines set by the current regulations.
Students who have left the program through this option may apply in the future for a new admission to the same program for a different doctoral thesis.
The request must be motivated (mandatory). The applicant may attach documentation (optional).
The request is studied by the School, which validates or rejects it. If it is validated, the cancellation is registered, the directors and CAPD are informed (e-mail), and it is studied whether or not the fees for the course in which the request is made are refunded.
