Toy Museum

The Toy Museum of the Universitat Politècnica de València is a comprehensive collection of the traditional toy industry of the Region of Valencia and is the only museum of its type in a university. It is therefore of interest not only from a cultural, but also from an educational and research perspective.

A visit to the museum will take adults back to the nostalgia of childhood and show the younger generations how their parents and grandparents used to play. The museum also reveals the influence that different materials and techniques have exerted on children’s toys over time.

The museum’s collection is contained in a main exhibition room and on the corridors on the ground floor and the second floor of the School of Design Engineering. The display cabinets are arranged thematically, allowing visitors to reflect on the recreational, historical, social, cultural and technological values conveyed by every toy.
