The Performing Arts Workshop is designed to place the performing arts in an academic and professional context and to serve as a space that promotes the integral and creative development of people through the practice of theatre. The classroom space is a laboratory for investigating and generating new ideas and forms of developing dramatic expression; it is also a workshop where what has been learnt can be put into practice.
From the beginning of the course, participants will begin to work directly on preparing scenes and characters, with the aim of promoting artistic development on the stage through dramatic play, improvisation and the preparation of monologues and scenes. The members of the Theatre Workshop are active participants in all activities related to the production and staging process of a theatrical production, such as construction, transport and assembly of set design, lighting, sound, costumes, etc.
