ME Just Like YOU
Our universe changes when we learn how to look at things from another perspective.
We know that the removal of architectural barriers, legislative changes or changes in language is not enough to achieve the full inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in our society.
Just being does not mean taking part. To achieve full participation, it is essential to bring about a change in the attitudes of the people who are part of their environment.

Since 1994, the City Council of Meliana has been developing a programme of educational and adult care activities aimed at people with intellectual and mental health disabilities, as well as objective difficulties with integration or a high risk of social exclusion.
Through reading, writing, cognitive maintenance, gardening, painting or ceramics workshops, we aim to enhance physical, mental and social skills. This exhibition presents a small sample of the works produced in the arts workshop.
