The deadline to apply for the 238-GAT curriculum adjustment for the 2026–2027 academic year will be May 18 through July 9, 2026 completed the REQUEST FOR ADAPTATION (PDF) and sending it via poliConsulta to the ETSIE Office.

What does adaptation involve?
The credit transfer process involves recognizing the credits you have already earned in the degree program that is being phased out and applying them to the new degree program, in accordance with the credit transfer tables included in the Verification Report for the new degree program.
When and how should I request the accommodation?
While the process to phase out degree program 138—Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Architecture—is underway, a window will be open to request the transition by submitting the Transition Request via PoliConsulta to the Center’s Registrar’s Office. Once you have transitioned to the new 238-GAT curriculum, you will be notified to complete self-enrollment for that program.
Do I have to adapt regardless of whether I’m in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade at 138 GAT?
No. The transition should only affect those students who, due to their academic progress, will be unable to complete their studies in the degree program that is being phased out. Therefore, the transition process will primarily affect students who are in their first or second year during the 2025–26 academic year.
Can you tell me how many pre-approved credits will be transferred toward the 238-GAT degree program?
Yes. To do that, you should consult the conversion tables.
Can I partially transfer credits—that is, take courses from the 238-GAT program and complete outstanding courses from the 138-GAT program?
No, that’s not possible. The conversion from 138-GAT to 238-GAT is COMPLETE.
If I don’t adapt, will I be able to pass the courses I’m failing?
Yes, but you are only allowed one additional academic year after instruction in those courses is phased out. The phase-out of Course 138-GAT will take place one academic year at a time, beginning with the phase-out of first-year instruction in 2026/27. From that point on, an additional academic year will be made available—without instruction but with exam sessions—so that students can pass those courses. This same structure (an academic year dedicated to assessment without instruction) will be repeated successively as the remaining years of the degree program are phased out.

When are exams for courses in “assessment without instruction” held?
Exams for these courses will be administered at the end of the academic term (quarter or year).
How much does it cost to enroll in a course under the “assessment only” option?
Since this enrollment entitles students only to tutoring and assessment, the cost is 25% of the regular fee.
What happens if I still need to pass a course from a now-discontinued 138-GAT program, and the evaluation period without instruction has ended without my having passed it?
In that case, the adjustment must be made, as there is no longer any possibility of passing that course.
For example, if at the end of the 2027–2028 academic year you still have a first-year course from the 138-GAT program that you have not passed, you will be required to switch to the new 238-GAT program.
The same criteria will be applied as the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades are phased out.
