Open Days

The UPV has been organizing every year since 1992 the Open DaysThe first edition of the “University of Valencia”, an initiative to introduce the university to high school students and students of higher education. Hundreds of students come from different parts of the Valencian Community, Cuenca, Albacete, Murcia and the Balearic Islands to see first hand what could be the university where they will study at university. In addition, as a result of the pandemic, the JPAs are also available online to facilitate access to anyone who is interested. Students can come through their schools or at the specific family days. In both modalities, attendees receive information about the degrees, professional opportunities, internships, stays abroad, as well as everything that the UPV offers beyond academics: sports, cultural and cooperation activities, part-time jobs, etc. In addition, during the on-site visit, each student can choose a visit to the itinerary that most interests him or her: Engineering, Social Sciences, Architecture, etc. This is one of the most emblematic projects organized by the Communication Area of the UPV and involves the work of a large team and the collaboration of all the centers in order to successfully organize a large-scale project. Since the Conference was established in 1992, it is estimated that more than 279,000 students have participated in this activity.
