1,475 photovoltaic panels installed on the roofs of 12 buildings on the Vera campus

Assembly of the panels began two weeks ago, and the 910 kW installation is expected to come into service in April. The 1,475 photovoltaic modules (660kWp) are located on the roofs of 12 buildings on the Vera campus. (Hover over buildings to see installation details.)

The 910kW photovoltaic installation for self-consumption is financed with European funds within the framework of the “Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Financed by the European Union – Next GenerationEU”, whose grants were requested in January 2022 and resolved in September 2022. The works were put out to tender in April 2023.

This installation will be completed with the one to be executed in the rectorate building, within the energy rehabilitation project financed by PIREP, representing a total of more than 1,200kW of photovoltaic on the Vera campus.

In addition, a second project is currently being drafted that will consist of a new photovoltaic installation of approximately 1,000kW.

The project management and execution of these facilities are the responsibilities of the UPV Infrastructure Service.
