Grants for the installation of photovoltaic systems on the Vera campus

This week the UPV has received the resolution of the grants presented last January 11. The awarded aid amounts to € 631,800 for a 972kW self-consumption photovoltaic installation on the Vera campus.

The installation will be executed and operational within a maximum period of eighteen months from the date of notification of the resolution granting. The panels will be distributed on the roofs of the different buildings in such a way as to achieve optimum performance that efficiently contributes to the existing electrical grid.

The Vice-rectorate office applied for aid under the Call for the Resolution of October 14, 2021, of the Regional Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, Climate Emergency and Ecological Transition, which called in advance, for the year 2022, aid within the incentive program 4, Implementation of self-consumption facilities with renewable energy sources, in the residential sector, public administrations, and the third sector with or without storage, within the framework of the “Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU.”

This photovoltaic installation is in addition to the one to be executed in the rectorate building within the energy rehabilitation project financed by PIREP. Thus, the Vera campus will achieve 1,200kW of PV installation.
