The Universitat Politècnica de València has 12 electric vehicle charging points, for the exclusive use of the entire university community. The installed models are type 2, with a charging speed of 22kW.
Use of charging points
- Users must download the Umbrella emobility app (available at the Play Store and the App Store), register with a UPV e-mail account, and enter a payment method.
- To charge the vehicle, simply follow the instructions on the charger.
- Once the vehicle is fully charged, the user will receive a notification (via app and email).
The application offers technical assistance and has a FAQ section.
Tariff
The charging rate is 0.33€/kWh. With the same application you can access other charging points outside the UPV, with a rate of 0.45 €/kWh.
In addition, an opportunity cost of use is established. After 90 minutes from the full-charge notification, the fee will be charged again. This measure aims to improve the use of the charger for the whole community, providing more charging opportunities for electric vehicle users.
Timetable of the places
The parking spaces are freely available and have the same opening hours as the UPV parking lots.
- Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm
- Saturdays, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
- In August, reduced hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Closed on Sundays and holidays.
Charging point locations
Other charging points will be installed in these and other car parks. The UPV has a progressive growth plan that aligns with the change in the mobility model it is experiencing.
