Find out about all the activities organised by the UPV for future students

Do you soon have to choose your university studies and where to study? To help you make this important decision, during the academic year the UPV carries out various guidance and counselling activities aimed at students of Baccalaureate and Vocational Training, as well as their families. We cover not only the Valencian Community, but also many other parts of Spain and abroad.

UPV participates in educational fairs

Every year, the UPV takes part in Unitour, the main educational fair that tours different cities all over Spain. Specifically, this year, UPV has attended Alicante, Murcia, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Castellón and Valencia.

It also takes part in the University Days circuit. This year, we have been in Palma, Ibiza, Tenerife, Lanzarote and Valencia. At all of them, the UPV provides information about its degrees and helps to resolve any doubts related to university entrance exams, admission procedures, grants, accommodation, etc.

We also attend the fairs organised by town councils such as Benidorm, Hellín (Albacete), Menorca and Ibiza. The aim is to collaborate with public entities as part of our university guidance work.

From January to April, the UPV conducts face-to-face Open Days.

On the other hand, every year the UPV organises the Open Days, which are aimed at both Baccalaureate and Vocational Training students (on Tuesdays) and their families (on Saturdays).

During these sessions, which are held in the morning and in person at the three UPV campuses: Vera (Valencia), Gandia and Alcoy, talks are given about the different degrees and double degrees on offer. All of this is complemented with guided visits to the schools and faculties, as well as tours of the main UPV facilities and services.

And, in parallel, on-line sessions are offered

For all those who are left on the waiting list or who cannot travel to the campuses, the UPV has set up the online JPAs. On 5 February, a general introduction to UPV studies webinar will take place.

If you are interested, you can subscribe to the webinar by clicking here

This general session is part of a series of 15 on-line talks in which each of the schools and faculties of the Universitat Politècnica de València explain in detail, one by one, their degrees. The complete calendar can be found at this link.

And the UPV visits secondary schools on demand with its new Network of Ambassadors.

In addition, the UPV offers its Ambassadors Network programme, an initiative designed for those centres that are far from the UPV campuses and, therefore, find it more difficult to attend the Open Days.

In this case, a pair of ambassadors – made up of a UPV lecturer and a UPV student – travels to the educational centre to give a talk on the academic offer, the different access systems, grants and services.

In order to participate in the Ambassador Network programme, the following three requirements must be met: the centre requesting the visit must not have attended any of the APTs organised by the UPV; it must be located far from the UPV campuses, within a radius of at least 50 km from Alcoy, Gandia or Valencia; and the students in question must be enrolled in Baccalaureate (any of the different modalities) or in Higher Level Training Cycles.

Schools interested in requesting a visit should send an email to embajadores@upv.es proposing a date and time. The Communications Department will contact you as soon as possible to confirm the visit and finalise all the details of the activity.
