On May 22nd, 2025, the Doctoral School of the Universitat Politècnica de València will celebrate the X Meeting of Doctoral Students of the UPV. The meeting will take place in the Assembly Hall of the Nexus Building (Building 6G) of the UPV from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
One of the objectives of this activity, which is part of the programme of cross-curricular doctoral training activities, is to present the research currently being carried out by UPV doctoral students, to exchange information and knowledge between doctoral students and to highlight the value of the doctoral degree in access to the labour market.
The programme combines presentations and a round table discussion on Artificial Intelligence and its effects on early stage researchers and participatory sessions in the form of posters and short oral communications (Pitch Challenge) by doctoral students.
At the time of registration, the contribution (poster or summary of the oral presentation) must be attached in PDF format, and must comply with the published rules and format. From among all the contributions received, an evaluation panel will select 60 posters and 15 3-minute oral presentations.
In this edition, the Student Unión of the Doctoral School (DEED) has published a call to finance the printing of selected posters. You can find the details of the call and the indications in this link.
The selected posters will be exhibited throughout the Meeting and the author of each poster should be available to explain their content to the jury (if required), and to the rest of the interested participants during the times established in the program.
The three-minute oral communications (Pitch Challenge) will take place in the afternoon session.
Both posters and oral communications may also be presented in English.
The jury, made up of the directors of the 5 chairs collaborating with the event, will select the best poster in each of the 8 areas, and the best short oral communication. The public will also be able to cast their vote for the best poster and the best short oral communication. All winners will receive a diploma and gifts.
All registered participants and attendees will also receive a diploma, gifts, and recognition of cross-curricular hours:
To receive the cross-curricular training hours, you must register in person between 8:30-9:15 a.m. on the day of the Meeting. There will be a poster session/coffee break and a light lunch will be available at 2 p.m.
Participants who have presented posters or participated in the Pitch Challenge in previous editions can participate again, but with a new contribution.
