Participants who have contributed posters or oral communications in previous editions may participate again, but with a different contribution.

Contributions selected in previous editions will not be considered if they are re-submitted.

Posters

The posters will be DIN A0 and portrait orientation.

The posters should be presented using the following format:

  • Short title.
  • Name of the author and the doctoral program in which he/she is enrolled.
  • Names of collaborators and director(s).
  • General and specific objectives.
  • Main stages of the development of the research.
  • Expected results and potential applications.

In the preparation of the posters, it is recommended to:

  • NOT to include an excess of information.
  • Use diagrams, graphs, figures, photos, etc.
  • Use a relatively large font size.
  • Use colors to differentiate the parts and highlight what is most relevant.

If your poster is selected (you will be notified by email), you must present the printed poster in person in the specified format (DIN A0-portrait) and hang it in the Nexus Hall between 8:30-9h on the day of the Meeting and be available in person to attend the jury members during the period indicated in the program.

A PDF file with the poster must be attached when registering for the Meeting.

Oral Presentations (Pitch Challenge)

Presentations will be 3 minutes in duration. It will not be possible to continue talking after this time. You must be very effective in communicating:

  • Objectives
  • Main stages of the development of the research.
  • Expected results and potential applications.

If the presentation is selected (this will be communicated by e-mail), the PhD student will receive instructions on how to send the file to be used on the day of the meeting (PowerPoint file, etc.).

For the selection of the contributions presented in this format, a PDF document summarizing the presentation must be included when you register on the Meeting website (maximum 3000 characters without spaces). The supporting material for the presentation (slides, photos, etc.) should be included in the same PDF.
