AIRE won’t let me log in
Server errors may occasionally occur, especially during periods of high traffic (such as at the end of deadlines). The problem usually resolves itself if you wait a couple of minutes. If not, you can report the issue on Gregal, our technical support portal: http://gregal.upv.es/
I can’t edit my AIRE application; I get the message “Someone else is editing it.”
It’s probably one of our staff members. Again, if you wait a couple of minutes, the problem should resolve itself.
Will I know if there’s a spot available for me in Group X?
It’s not easy to know. Since course assignments are made manually, we don’t always know the answer to that question. However, you’ll have the opportunity to select an alternative course in case you can’t be assigned to your first choice.
Please note that, as an exchange student, you are not guaranteed a spot in the courses you choose, since UPV students have priority over exchange students (although most exchange students are able to enroll in their first choice).
Should I choose courses that total more than 30 ECTS and then drop the excess credits to ensure I earn the required 30 ECTS?
No, that’s not allowed. It limits opportunities for other students and would give you an unfair advantage. Furthermore, it’s almost certain that you’ll be able to register for the number of credits you need, although not necessarily in the exact courses you initially chose (though most exchange students manage to register for their first choice).
Can I change any of the courses I’ve enrolled in?
There will be a welcome session on the first Friday in September, during which participants will be informed about the one-week period available to make any necessary changes.
How do I obtain my Transcript of Records at the end of my stay?
You should wait for the coordinator of each course to post the official grades: at the end of February for the first semester and in early July for the second semester, although you’ll be able to view them earlier.
Once all your grades have been posted on AIRE ( https://aplicat.upv.es/aire-app/), you can download the official Transcript of Records (ToR) (see the tutorial on how to download the ToR), which will include a verification code that you must send to the coordinator at your home university.
Do I need any documents before returning to my country?
You must obtain your Certificate of Stay. This document serves to verify the duration of your stay with your home university and will be taken into account when awarding financial aid for mobility.
To obtain the Certificate of Enrollment, you must first schedule an appointment through the PoliCita platform (Internships and Academic Exchange), indicating the date of your last exam.
The deadline for completing the semester is July 2 for the second semester, unless you are working on a supervised project (such as a bachelor’s thesis or a master’s thesis).
Within those limits, the departure date shown on the certificate will be no later than five days after the day you visit our office in person.
