Valencia, June 20, 2023 – Last Thursday, June 15, the annual meeting of the Advisory Council of the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria Informàtica (ETSINF) of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV) took place, where various issues related to the strategy and future of the institution were addressed. The board, made up of leading professionals in the field of information technology and professors of reference, was more than satisfied with the results of the school’s degrees.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the growing appreciation of computer engineering professionals and everything related to computer science in its broadest sense, including data, robotics, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. The council stressed the importance of enhancing these areas and highlighted the incredible potential of the new dual degree in Industrial Organization and Data Science.
Another proposal that generated great enthusiasm was the degree in Artificial Intelligence, considered by the council as the future of the discipline. Council members recognized the growing demand for specialized professionals in this field and the need to train experts in artificial intelligence.
Regarding the promotion of the school, the council offered its support and recommended the organization of events to attract society’s attention to computer engineering in general and ETSINF in particular. The attendees also offered their experience and expertise in this area to help in the promotional aspects.
The ETSINF Advisory Board, established in 2010, aims to advise the school on issues of strategy, quality, innovation in training and relations with the professional and social world. It is composed of leading professionals and alumni of the school, as well as reference professors.
The Advisory Board of ETSINF UPV highlights the achievements and proposes to promote key areas of computer engineering.
