Credit Recognition for Advanced Vocational Training Programs

Specific Criteria for Credit Recognition in Undergraduate Programs for Students Coming from Advanced Vocational Training Programs (CFGS)

If you have a vocational training certificate, a degree in Fine Arts and Design, or a Senior Sports Technician certification, you can request that part of your prior education be recognized toward the bachelor’s degree you will be pursuing at the UPV.

HOW TO APPLY

The application for credit recognition must be submitted through:

Intranet / Virtual Secretary / Requests / Requests for Recognition.

The application must indicate the vocational training program you are enrolled in. The tool “reconnaissance simulator” It allows students to easily find out what rules exist regarding prior recognition that would automatically apply to them.

DOCUMENTATION TO BE SUBMITTED BY APPLICANTS

Once you have submitted your online application, you have 10 business days to submit the physical documentation to your school’s registrar’s office. In this case, students coming from official higher education institutions must provide:

Official Academic Certification from the training program, showing the grades and credits for each module.
Advanced Technical Certificate or, failing that, proof that you have requested it.

Once the application has been completed online, the applicant must print the application for recognition, sign it, and submit it to ORIGINAL at the Center’s Office, as well as ORIGINAL AND COPY supporting documents for your qualifications. To do so, you must schedule an appointment through the Policita app to visit the ETSINF Registrar’s Office: https://www.upv.es/pls/soalu/SIC_POLICITA.Seleccion_Cita?p_unidad=XXX&P_IDIOMA=c&P_VISTA=normal

Intended for students enrolled in programs that have been discontinued or in bachelor’s degree programs with modified curricula or that are being phased out.

DECISION AND NOTIFICATION

Through July 17, 2026.

Outside of these deadlines, and at the discretion of the Academic Committees, requests for accommodations from students may be considered and resolved. Enrollment will be contingent upon the accommodation decision being made prior to the start of the semester, and when necessary, to ensure proper compliance with the academic progress requirements by establishing the enrollment plan best suited to the student’s academic situation.

Special Credit Recognition for Older Degree Programs

For students who have transferred from the Computer Engineering (110), Technical Engineering in Management Information Systems (111), and Technical Engineering in Computer Systems (112) programs

Resolution adopted by the Academic Committee (CAT) for the Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering at its meeting held on December 10, 2013, under item 5 of the agenda, in which the proposal for Extraordinary Credit Recognition in the Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering (156) was approved for students transferring from the following programs: Computer Engineer (110), Technical Engineer in Management Informatics (111), and Technical Engineer in Systems Informatics (112), with the text as follows:

“For students who, after transferring to the Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, find that the number of credits transferred is fewer than the number they had earned in their original degree program, it is proposed that credits be granted on an exceptional basis in the ‘Complementary Training’ course, up to a maximum of 27 ECTS, for the following reasons:

Courses recognized in a major other than the one the student is pursuing.
Required, elective, or free-choice courses completed as part of the original degree program that are not recognized in the equivalency tables.
Recognition of internships completed as part of the original degree program (maximum 18 ECTS).
Recognition of student engagement activities listed in the current catalog of university activities recognized for bachelor’s degree programs (maximum 6 ECTS): student government, the PATU program, and the MENTOR program. Each activity will be recognized with the credits established in the current catalog of university activities for bachelor’s degree programs.
Only credits earned under the 2001 Curriculum will be recognized.

The credit equivalence will be 1 LRU credit = 1 ECTS credit “
