RESILIENT TERRITORIES. From the Huerta tradition, to the Huerta regeneration is an approach to the physical and symbolic reality of metropolitan Valencia and the relationship of the city with the territory, delving into the cultural landscape of l’Horta de Valencia on the triple helix of ecosystem services, sovereignty and health of the metropolis.
The geographical and cultural context of l’Horta de Valencia is a complex and rich landscape, urban and social reality, which provides the metropolitan territory with unique characteristics and a suggestive horizon of possibilities in terms of improving the lives of its inhabitants.
Through a series of lectures, debates and walks with agents of the territory we will deepen on the challenges and potential of the Huerta de Valencia as a space for transformation and the dimension of rurality as a regenerative source.
The workshop will be complemented with a work of compilation, reflection and proposal that the students will elaborate throughout the activities and will result in a collective exhibition and debate at the end of the seminar.
The workshop is aimed at students of the Master in Urban and Territorial Development and the Master in Sustainable Intervention in the Built Environment of the ETSA del Vallès (UPC).
The lectures and activities will be open to UPV students and the general public.until full capacity is reached.
