The next thursday, november 6, 2025 of 16.00 to 20.00 htheIX International Day of Art and Activismoagainst Gender Violence, organized byArt Against Gender Violence (ACVG) and coordinated by Mau Monleón Pradas,Malén Iturri and Elena Mir. The event, which validates 6 credits for Doctorate students will be developed in the following format webinar through the Zoom platform.
The event will bring together prominent feminist artists, theorists and researchers national and international level, and will count with thepresentation of the book Feminist Art and Activism coordinated by Mau Monleón Pradas, Malén Iturri and Elena Mir, in the Colección Feminismos y Cultura.
Among the programmed conferences, the following speakers will be featured Isabel Tejedawith“Tina Modotti, a case of erasure in interwar political photography.”; Nuria Güell with“Art as a counter-dispositive to patriarchy.”; y Monica Mayer a pioneer of feminist art in Mexico, with“How I found my own voice.”.
The meeting will be inaugurated by institutional representatives of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) the Classical and Modern Association (CyM) and the Alanna Associationtogether with the coordinators of the event. Also participating are the Vice-Rector’s Office for Art, Science, Technology and Society and the Vice-rectorate for Internationalization and Communication of the UPVas well as collectiveEquality Portal (C#PDI) and the Laboratorio de Creaciones Intermedia (LCI).
