Concert by the Grup de Dolçaina i Percussió de la UPV (Dolçaina and Percussion Group of the UPV)

With the imminent arrival of the vacation season and the end of the academic year, the Dolçaina and Percussion Group of the Universitat Politècnica de València will offer its traditional Closing Concert of the 2024/2025 School Year a sample of the work developed in the music classroom throughout the year.

The concert will take place next tuesday, May 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Nexus Building Assembly Room (6G)in theVera Campus of the UPV. It will be directed by Fernando Cantó Salinasand will feature a repertoire centered on the slogan“Festive and dance repertoire of the Comunitat Valenciana” with popular and traditional pieces and compositions by Valencian composers.

The program will include passacaglias, jotas, boleros and other traditional dances of the Valencian territory. Among the featured works areAmadeo “The dolçainer”.,Ball de l’Anguila,Herbero de Mariola yRaïm i fustaamong others.

The concert is open to the public and admission is free until full capacity is reached.
