El Suplement Europeu al Títol (SET) establit pel RD 1.044/2003, d'1 d'agost (BOE 11/09/03), és un document que acompanya els títols de caràcter oficial i validesa en tot el territori nacional, amb la informació unificada i personalitzada per a cada persona titulada sobre els aspectes més rellevants de la seua formació universitària, sobre el nivell i contingut dels ensenyaments que han cursat.

En el marc dels processos de convergència que, en l'àmbit educatiu, s'han propiciat a la Unió Europea i els estats associats, el SET troba la justificació en la diversitat d'ensenyaments i titulacions, les dificultats del reconeixement d'aquests, l'increment de la mobilitat dels ciutadans i la insuficient informació aportada pels títols. És, doncs, un document que afegeix als títols una informació que cada vegada resultarà més necessària, amb l'objectiu que els alumnes universitaris puguen beneficiar-se, en acabar els seus estudis, dels avantatges que comporta per a la mobilitat acadèmica i professional.

Els alumnes de la Universitat Politècnica de València obtenen el SET de forma gratuïta sense necessitat de sol·licitar-lo expressament, ja que s'expedeix a tots els alumnes junt amb el títol al qual acompanya.

Una vegada expedit, el SET s'envia al domicili de la persona titular, sense cap cost per a aquesta.

The Diploma Supplement (DS) established by R.D. 1044/2003 of 1 August (Official State Bulletin 11/09/03), is a document accompanying official degrees which is valid in the entire Spanish territory, providing unified and personalised information for each graduate on the most relevant aspects of his or her university education regarding the level and content of the degree taken.

The DS, being part of the convergence processes in education which have been fostered in the European Union and associated States, is justified by the diversity of courses and degrees, the difficulties in recognition of academic qualifications, the increase in citizens' mobility, and the insufficient information provided by degrees. Thus it is a document which provides additional information on degrees with which will be increasingly necessary, in order for university students to benefit, once they have completed their studies, from the advantages that it entails for their academic and professional mobility.

Universitat Politècnica de València students obtain the DS for free, with no need for an express request, as it is issued for all students together with the degree which it accompanies.

Once issued, the DS is sent to the holder's address, at no cost for him or her.
