Subsidy for the energy rehabilitation of the building 7B

The Instituto Valenciano de Competitividad Empresarial (IVACE) approved last December 19 the granting of a subsidy to the Universitat Politècnica de València for the energy rehabilitation of the building 7B of the Vera campus, headquarters of the School of Design Engineering. This subsidy is part of the Program for the Rehabilitation of Existing Buildings (PREE-IDAE). It reaches 40% of the investments to be made in the reform of thermal installations and their distribution, regulation, control, and emission subsystems.

As in the case of the energy rehabilitations of buildings 7A and 7G, also subsidized by IVACE, these investments are essential to improve the university’s sustainability. On the one hand, they allow optimizing air conditioning systems and thus reducing energy costs. On the other hand, the modernization of thermal installations also involves a reduction of refrigerant gas emissions and an improvement in the carbon footprint of the institution.
The request, processing, and management of these grants is a task carried out by the UPV Infrastructures Services.
