What should a Data Transfer Agreement contain?
It must describe the data to be transferred, the research work to be carried out with these data, the agreement will establish conditions regarding the restricted use and confidentiality of the data exchanged between the parties, the way in which these data will be transferred, the possibility of publication of the work, the obligation to indicate the origin of the data used as well as the possibility of shared ownership of the results of the research carried out.
Who signs it?
The signing of these agreements on behalf of the UPV corresponds to the Vice Rector for Innovation and Transfer, by virtue of theResolution of May 13, 2025 of the Rector of the UPV by which a delegation of competence is made to certain unipersonal bodies of the UPV, in accordance with the provisions of Articles 9 and 12 of Law 40/2015, of October 1, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector, and Articles 63 to 67 of the Statutes of the UPV, approved by Decree 122/2024, of September 24, of the Consell.
Agreements already accepted by the parties must be sent to i2t with the signature of the responsible professor, so that we can proceed to process the signature of the Vice Rector for Innovation and Transfer.
