What is i2T
The Service for Research, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer Support (i2T) is the unit that leads UPV Innovation, the Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) of the UPV. Its mission is to promote research and innovation at UPV and, in particular, to protect, valorise and transfer the results generated by its research.
Valorisation
Through knowledge valorisation we contribute to the process of creating value from the knowledge obtained through research, by providing technical, economic and legal attributes that enable its transfer and use for the benefit of society.
Protection of results
A service designed to enhance the value of your research: we guide you through patent applications and software registration, ensuring industrial and intellectual property while helping your results reach the market.
Commercialization and Licensing
We help transform research results into market opportunities — from boosting their technological maturity with TRL UP to establishing licences and collaboration agreements with companies.
Spin-off Creation
We support new knowledge-based business projects that exploit UPV’s R&D results, involving the researchers who generated them and the university itself.
Confidentiality Agreements
Agreements to protect non-public information during negotiations, preventing misuse by recipients and preserving confidentiality.
Material Transfer Agreements
Facilitate the exchange of reagents, samples or biological materials with other entities. Define the terms of shipment, use and return.
Data Transfer Agreements
Formalise the transfer of research data sets, providing a secure framework for data sharing. Define the scope, duration and rules of use.
Promotion
We foster connections between university research and the challenges of the social, business and healthcare environment.
Our goal is to bring UPV’s knowledge and innovation closer to companies, institutions and hospitals, facilitating collaboration and technology transfer through various initiatives. Ultimately, we act as a bridge between research and real-world needs, promoting the development of innovative solutions.
