To mark the celebration of the UPV’s 2026 Environment Week, we are opening the photo exhibition “Let’s Save the Four Seasons.” Through these images, we invite you to reflect on climate change, with the mountains as the central theme. Because the mountains are nature, they are a challenge, they are silence, they are peace, they are sports, and they are a chance to disconnect.

In places as diverse as Kyrgyzstan, Germany, Canada, the Pyrenees, and the Valencian Community, nature offers us landscapes that, in some ways, resemble one another. So far away, yet so close. So different, yet so similar. Pablo Benedito, a lover of mountains and photography, set out to document four key moments on our planet: the four seasons—spring, summer, fall, and winter. Climate change could have damaged these four seasons that we believed to be unchanging—and which, perhaps, we still have time to save. That is why the title of this exhibition serves as a wake-up call to save the four seasons.

Pablo Benedito is a photographer from Valencia and holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the UPV. He can’t remember life without the mountains. That’s where his passions come together: sports, nature, and photography. After climbing rock faces and summiting mountains in more than ten different countries across Europe, Africa, the Americas, and Asia, he decided to pursue a career as a mountain guide and founded an active tourism company in Valencia. Photography is the tool he uses to share his experiences and to capture the beauty of the places he visits, in hopes of inspiring others. He won second prize in the 3rd Guille Martí Revillo Photography Contest.

Project selected in the call for proposals PC_ACTS 2026.
