The UPV Symphonic Band took part in the 39th edition of the International University Music Festival (FIMU) held in Belfort (France) from May 21 to 24, 2026. For four days, the event transforms the entire city center into a huge open-air stage. Organized by the City of Belfort with the support of local university students, the festival remains one of the most important musical gatherings in Europe, specifically designed to showcase the talent of students and emerging musicians from around the world.
The UPV musical group gave two concerts on May 22 and 23, with the following repertoire presented on May 14 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UPV. The concert, conducted by Francisco J Valero, included pieces by renowned composers such as Alfred Reed, Joaquín Turina, Gerónimo Giménez, Steven Reineke and Óscar Navarro.
