The Universitat Politècnica de València inaugurates the exhibition The limits of the planet the next 3 of
June, at 12:00 noon in the Espai n-1 The main building of the Central Library Building, first floor of the
Vera Campus of the UPV. The exhibition will remain open to the public until July 24, 2026.
The exhibition, curated by Cor de Terra Association, brings together works by visual artists and
illustrators such as Berta Páramo, Miguel Brieva, Rubén Uceda, Ana Galvañ, Iñaki Landa and Anna
Penyas, ytexts and testimonials from the scientific and activist community that, in a didactic way,
tell the story of how our planet has reached a critical point in climate issues, generating
risk scenarios that affect our lives.
This dialogue between works and stories traces a journey through the most recent history and the most recent
key events that have led to the current climate and social crisis. At the same time, we
invites us to reflect on the different courses of action, solutions and ways of dealing with a reality that
involves us all and makes us all responsible.
The exhibition will include a number of different activities activities and lectures aimed at boosting
the content presented and sensitize the audience by offering them new ways of approaching
and test the sample.
Cor de Terra is a non-profit association established for the creation of projects for the creation of
related to the climate crisis, social rights, the environment, science and culture. The
The approach is activist and educational, with a strong focus on ecological, climate and social awareness, and
a strong informative component.

FERNANDO VALLADARES AND MAITE MOMPÓ: The planet’s limits

PhD in Biology, researcher at the CSIC and associate professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University
in Madrid.
He ranks among the top 1% most cited researchers in the world, with over 450 publications on
biodiversity and the impacts of climate change and human activity on ecosystems.
He has published four books, notably La Recivilización (Destino, 2023).
In 2021, he received the Jaume I Prize and the BBVA Foundation’s Environmental Communication Prize.
He was recently awarded the Planeta Prize by the Alliance of World Scientists for his
work in science communication.
