TheVI Hidden Heritage Day 2025 is consolidating its position as a key initiative for thevisibility of intangible heritage of theValencian CommunityThe festivities, although little known outside their municipalities, have a high cultural, historical and social value.

Hidden Heritage is a project that aims to highlight those festive manifestations that are also part of theValencian collective imaginationand that deserve to be recognized for their contribution to the identity and social cohesion of peoples. Through this day, it is intended topreserve and disseminate these traditions as living elements of the common heritage.

A program in two thematic tables

The day is structured in two thematic tables that allow to know the particularities of different traditional celebrations:

1ST TABLE: FESTIVALS AND TRADITIONS OF THE CV

  • Suera, a town on the street (Suera, Castelló)
  • Maerà d’Antella (Antella, València)
  • Escacs Vivents (Xàbia, Alacant)

2ND TABLE: AGRICULTURAL OR RELATED FESTIVALS

  • Bando huertano (Almoradí, Alacant)
  • Festa de les Alfàbegues (Bétera, València)
  • Festa de l’escaldà (Vall de Vernissa, València)
  • L’Arc de Sant Mateu (Figueroles, Castelló)
