The 19th edition of the PolinizaDos Urban Art Encounter will take place again at the Vera Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València from May 13th to 17th, 2024.
This year, the Encounter will focus on collective processes, the relational dimension and the revision of common discourses in urban art.
With the outstanding participation of Mexico as guest country, through cooperation with the INBAL National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving “La Esmeralda”, the Encounter seeks to explore the diverse perspectives and traditions of urban art, thus enriching cultural dialogue and fostering international collaboration.
As part of the classic mural interventions in Campus spaces, a prominent feature of this year’s proposals is the emphasis on collective production and community practices. For this reason, several projects in the Encuentro program have been specially designed to encourage the active participation of the community, thus promoting social cohesion and creative empowerment.
In addition, this edition emphasizes the importance of the didactic block that usually accompanies the Encounter. Through lectures and workshops specialized in practices and discourses on urban art and public space, it offers a context to delve into relevant and current issues within this discipline in the academic context;
