The Intersectoral Festival of Contemporary Art from Ukraine and Spain: ‘RENAISSANCE’ is a joint initiative of the CultUcrania platform, the French Institute and the Universitat Politècnica de València, which participates through the Vice-Rectorate for Art, Science, Technology and Society and the Faculty of Fine Arts thanks to the University-Refuge Action Plan of the Ministry of Universities.

The main objective of this project is to carry out a cultural and psychological support action through intercultural dialogue between young artists from Spain and Ukraine, with actions to raise awareness among the different sectors of the university community on aspects related to the crisis in Ukraine. Nature, ecocide, humanity, cycles of life and death, crisis, paths, looks, destruction, regeneration… will be themes to be explored.

The Artistic Residence of 3 Ukrainian art students at the UPV is part of this project:

  • Sofia Melnyk from Lviv National Academy of Arts
  • Kateryna Pokora from Lviv National Academy of Arts
  • Ruslana Kliuchko from National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture – NAOMA (Kyiv)

And they will work together with students from the UPV’s Faculty of Fine Arts:
