The VIDEO RECORDING AND EDITING course introduces students to the techniques and knowledge needed to record and edit audiovisual content using basic equipment.
-Main narrative techniques in audiovisual media.
-Script proposal. Planning and technical script.
-Recording. Types of devices. Video camera, camera, cell phone.
-Video editing. Basic techniques.
-Editing with archival footage. Videos from the internet. Management and storage.
-Titles. Generic titles. Subtitles. Credits.
-Sound. Live sound. Effects and music. Audio editing.
-Digital effects. Color adjustments. Finishing touches.
-Formats and distribution channels: HD. Video for the Internet.
-Review of the procedure. Applications of the process to any type of audiovisual material.
This course is part of the “UPV 2026 TRAINING COURSES FOR THE CULTURAL SECTOR” project, a program of cultural activities organized by the Polytechnic University of Valencia for 2026, in connection with the direct grant program, code S0063, titled “COLLABORATION WITH UNIVERSITIES FOR THE TRAINING OF CULTURAL PROFESSIONALS” from the Valencian Regional Government.

Professionals in the cultural sector who are interested in learning about the video production process in all its phases, from the initial idea to the final edit.

Producciones La Hormiga has produced two feature-length documentaries and more than a dozen short documentaries and fiction films. It has participated in prestigious film festivals in Spain, Germany, Denmark, Greece, and Italy.
