Registration is now open for the first part of the course POLIMNIA222: Poetry Writing Workshop. Meaning and Direction of the Poem. Part I: The Verticality of the Poem, which will be developed by September 15 to December 1, 2026, every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Pedro Coca Classroom (ETSIADI, Building 7B).
This in-person workshop, which lasts 30 hours, offers a journey through poetry from its historical and expressive perspectives, with a special focus on the search for one’s own voice and on dialogue with guest authors.
Taught by María del Pilar Verdú del Camp, the course will combine theory (resources, authors, concepts, and movements) with practice (reading, interpreting, and discussing poems), and will also feature meetings with poets who will share their experiences and works.
Course Objectives
- To engage with poetry as a form of knowledge and expression.
- Understand the fundamental concepts needed to evaluate a poem.
- Explore reading and writing as paths to self-discovery.
- To break into the world of poetry publishing.
The registration fee is 30 € for the general public.
This activity is open to anyone interested in reading, understanding, and writing poetry.
