LEVEL UPV SCHOLARSHIPS TO HELP WITH REGISTRATION FEES FOR CERTACLES AND CAMBRIDGE EXAMS TAKEN AT THE LANGUAGE CENTER (2026)
RESOLUTION OF THE RECTOR BY WHICH THE BASES ARE PUBLISHED AND THE “LEVEL UPV – CERTIFICATION OF LINGUISTIC COMPETENCE IN ENGLISH 2026” GRANTS ORGANIZED BY THE LANGUAGE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSITAT POLITÈCNICA DE VALÈNCIA, AIMED AT THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY OF THE UPV, WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE NO BORDERS 2026 PLAN, ARE ANNOUNCED.
OBJECT OF THE CALL
The purpose of these terms and conditions is to regulate the granting of theGrants “Level UPV – Certification of Linguistic Competence in English 2026”.to finance, in whole or in part, examination fees corresponding toofficial tests for certification or accreditation of linguistic competence in English languageorganized and managed by theLanguage Center of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV).
The following will be financedofficial certification tests of English language proficiency equivalent to levels B2, C1 and C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). and, exclusively in the case oftechnical, management, administrative and service personnel (PTGAS)The tests equivalent to thelevel B1provided that such tests have beencalled and managed by the Language Center of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). within the framework of agreements formalized with recognized examining bodies.
Grants will be awarded to those applicants whoaccredit compliance with the requirements established in these terms and conditions and in the call for applications.The following are required to register for the exam, pay the corresponding fees, andpassed the certification test in any of the exams organized by the Language Center of the UPV during the year 2026..
AMOUNT OF AID AND BUDGET APPROPRIATION
The purpose of the aids regulated in these bases will be to finance, totally or partially, theexamination fees for English language proficiency certification tests organized by the Language Center of the Universitat Politècnica de València.
As a general rule, the aid will consist of an amount equivalent to the70 % of the amount actually paid by the beneficiary as examination fee.
However, the aid may reachup to 100 % of the amount paid in the following cases:
- Technical, management, administration and services personnel (PTGAS) and teaching and research personnel (PDI) of the Universitat Politècnica de València.
- Undergraduate students who have obtained an honors degree in the B2 level English language subject included in their official study plan..
The final amount of each grant will be determined on the basis of the amount actually paid by the applicant for examination fees, but in no case may it exceed this amount.
The granting of aid will be conditional upon themaximum budget availability foreseen in the call for proposalsset at75,000 eurosand will be resolved in accordance with the procedure set forth in these rules.
TARGET AND REQUIREMENTS
These grants may be applied for by persons who are members of theuniversity community of the Universitat Politècnica de Valènciabelonging to one of the following groups:
- Technical, management and administrative and service personnel (PTGAS).
- Teaching and research staff (POI).
- Research personnel (PI).
- Students enrolled in official courses ofbachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree of the UPV.+
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have formalized theenrollment in a certification test organized by the UPV Language Center.have paid the corresponding fees and havepassed the testin accordance with the terms established in the call for applications.
And also in the case of undergraduate students:
- The undergraduate students who opt for the realization of thecertification tests equivalent to CEFR level B2 must have previously passed aB2 level English language course included in the official UPV curriculum.prior to the formalization of the registration for the certification exam.
- This requirementshall not be enforceable when the applicant is applying for certification tests equivalent to the following levelsC1 or C2 of the CEFR.
DOCUMENTATION AND APPLICATION DEADLINE
Those who wish to apply for one of these scholarships must present:
– Completed application form (Annex II)
– Undergraduate students must also submit a copy of their academic transcript.
The application and the rest of the documentation indicated above will be submitted through the UPV’s electronic registry:
