There are various options for funding a predoctoral visit and the most common are:
STUDENTS WITH PRE-DOCTORAL AIDS FROM THE MINISTRIES AND THE GVA
These grants usually include a package to finance research stays, called and managed by the corresponding entity. Consult the bases of each call to know the details.
STUDENTS WITH PRE-DOCTORAL CONTRACT FPI-UPV OR DEVELOPING THESIS IN THE REGIME OF COTUTELA
Annually the Vice-Rectorate of Research, Innovation, and Transfer announce the mobility grants from the FPI-UPV students and for the students developing their thesis in Cotutela (http://www.upv.es/entidades/VIIT/info/900578normali.html)
(are managed by Doctoral School and the International Exchange Programmes Office.).
Grants provided by the Erasmus+ programme are funded by the European Union. These grants can cover up to 12 months of the total period of doctoral studies – and can be used on one or several visits.
Under European Union regulations, Erasmus+ grants are compatible with other grants that are not from the same source.
There are two types of mobility grants in the Erasmus+ programme:
A student does part of his or her studies in another university, and these studies are recognised by both universities. For doctoral students, this period is known as a research visit.
A student visits a public or private organisation in the EU as an intern. In the case of doctoral students, this is a research visit.
