RiuNet is the Institutional Repository of Universitat Politècnica de València, managed by the Library. Its purpose is to offer online access to the scientific, academic and corporate production of the university community to increase visibility and make the content accessible and preservable. RiuNet meets the University’s commitments under the Budapest Open Access Initiative, the Berlin Declaration and its institutional open access policy.
RiuNet has been designed so the university community can store its personal and institutional production in collections. These collections comprise a variety of document types such as learning objectives (Polimedia, virtual laboratories and teaching articles), doctoral theses, journal articles, maps, academic works, creative works, heritage collection, teaching material, multimedia, institutional production, electronic journals and conference proceedings.
Teaching staff at Universitat Politècnica de València can self-archive their work in RiuNet. Begin by consulting the guide: New dispatch to RiuNet or watch the step-by-step video tutorial. There is also a guide to Amending learning objects.
Currently, publications uploaded in Senia are disseminated automatically from RiuNet (you can see the process here), guaranteeing all copyright and publisher-related aspects. To upload articles to Senia, follow these simple steps.
Documentation deposited in RiuNet can be consulted directly from the repository (check the Help file) or through PoliBuscador. In this case, results from a simple search also show RiuNet entries, together with those in the catalogue or other resources; it is also possible to filter by RiuNet. The picture shows an example of a recommended bibliography search with a RiuNet result.
