On February 6, the Master’s Degree in Visual Arts and Multimedia will make a visit to the space NewArt Centre in Reus, belonging to the foundation NewArt Foundation.
One of the world’s largest technological art collections
The collection, considered one of the largest collections of digital art in the world, is made up of more than 200 works belonging to more than 85 artists pioneers in digital and technological art.
It proposes a look into the past, present and future that seeks to go beyond the vision, interrelating with the viewer through broader fields that seek to explore the interaction between work and user through the use of the five senses, finding in it pieces and experiences that cross disciplines such as generative art, installation, robotics and the software art.
Hello World! a historical review of technological art
The current exhibition, Hello World! takes a journey through the 60-year history of technological art through a group of 30 works that explore concepts such as: the fine line that separates the digital world and the physical world, the relationship between body and space, the three-dimensionality of light, outer space and programmed obsolescence.
The visit will allow students to see first-hand an international benchmark in digital art, generating a space for reflection and learning about contemporary languages and their creative possibilities. The activity is part of the training program of the master’s degree, which is committed to direct contact between students and professionals, works and key contexts of the sector.
