Last November 21st, AVM students had the opportunity to attend a workshop given by Raul Alaejos, visual artist and member of the stage company Serrucho on the space La Mutant.
The image as a protagonist of the action
During the workshop, AVM students were able to see first-hand the mobile audiovisual device used by the company in its new show “Fogonazo“. The students had the opportunity to see it work directly on stage, at the same time that the members of the company shared information about the process of conception and production of the piece.
“Fogonazo” acts as a space for theatrical experimentation, where real life and fiction intermingle with the aim of reflecting on the visual ecosystem in the digital era and the theater itself as a medium. In it, images obtained on the internet through different services of streaming become actors, autonomous devices that move around the stage and establish contextual relationships with each other, reflecting through dialogue on the ideas of representation, self-representation and the limits or nature of the medium itself.
