The gardens of the Vera campus already have complete quartets of garbage cans that facilitate waste separation. This is the last step of the progressive implementation of organic waste collection that began in early 2022 with the arrival of the City of Valencia’s brown dumpsters on the campus’s perimeter.
In the first half of the year, large-format garbage cans were added to the university’s cafeterias and restaurants. In June 2022, brown bins were introduced in building interiors. In addition, the Environment Unit launched an awareness campaign. Finally, in recent weeks, the Infrastructure Service has installed outdoor brown litter baskets.
