31st Novembre Jazz Festival at the UPV

The Polytechnic University of Valencia once again brings the best jazz to stages in Valencia, Gandia, and Alcoi, November 17–20. The festival NOVEMBER JAZZ UPV 2026 Not only does it bring together essential talents from the current jazz scene, but it also gives a voice to new groups and emerging artists, highlighting an increasingly established female presence and leadership.

On the first day, Tuesday, the 17th, the opening ceremony for this year’s event, at 6:30 p.m., will be led by the UPV Ensemble, directed by Kako Rubio, where university professors and students are introduced to the language of jazz and, above all, to the practice of jazz as a creative experience. The Wednesday, the 18th, percussionist Eva Català and double bassist Eva Serrano present their group Evas Quartet, a celebration of uninhibited and powerful contemporary jazz, where both young artists demonstrate why they have achieved international success. They will perform again on the 19th in Gandia. That same Thursday, the 19th One of the most playful groups on the local scene makes its debut on stage at the Valencia School of Fine Arts, Dómisol Sisters, which since 2011 has evoked the light, swinging sound of American all-female vocal groups from the 1930s and 1940s—an irresistible invitation to dance.

And the Friday, the 20th It’s the alto and soprano saxophonist’s quartet’s turn at the Vera Campus in Valencia Juan Saus, who has just returned to Valencia after a long period of training in Boston and New York, where he received the highest academic honors.
