From the year 2024, POLIWOOD UPV, the first semester of the year, one of the group’s most important events, the PoliReto, was staged at the door of the group. With the goal of having active members during the first quarter, it was decided to create this internal proposal to produce short films based on popular sayings. At the beginning of the course, the phrases are drawn with a random roulette and the members are informed, who have until December to send their proposals. All this culminates with the PoliGala, which, as the name suggests, is a gift-giving ceremony for the participants of the PoliReto.
The PoliGala 2026 is a cultural event where the audiovisual talent of the university community of the Vera Campus is celebrated and encouraged. This includes a gala of gifts, with the projection of short films made by students of the UPV and an exhibition of posters of the productions and the creative challenge PoliReto. The theme of this year’s festival revolves around the saying “Cuando el río suena, agua leva”, which acts as a narrative thread.
The event is scheduled to take place on February 20 at the Assembly Hall of the Ciutat Politècnica de la Innovació (CPI).
